Guatemala Yoga Retreat
Lake Atitlán, Guatemala
March 27-April 3, 2027
Join us for an 8-day yoga and spiritual immersion on the shores of Lake Atitlán, one of the most energetically powerful and sacred places in the world. Surrounded by towering volcanoes and rich Mayan culture, this land invites deep connection—to nature, to community, and to yourself.
Our home for the week is a collection of beautiful lakeside villas set into the mountainside, overlooking the water. Each morning, gather for practice with panoramic views of the majestic volcano—an experience that feels both grounding and expansive.
This retreat is rooted in spiritual exploration and intentional living. Throughout the week, we’ll move beyond the physical practice of yoga and into deeper layers of awareness through asana, meditation, breathwork, and meaningful workshops designed to support inner transformation. We’ll honor the traditions of this sacred land with powerful ceremonial experiences, including a traditional Mayan fire ceremony, a heart-opening cacao ceremony, and a sweat lodge ceremony—each guided by local wisdom and offering space for release, reflection, and connection.
Our days are thoughtfully curated as a full immersion experience, with every detail intentionally designed and all logistics seamlessly taken care of. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be guided through a natural, intuitive flow—moving from practice to ceremony to adventure in a way that feels both effortless and deeply aligned.
We’ll weave in moments of adventure and play—waterfall hikes through lush jungle, paddleboard yoga on the lake, and cliff jumping into its crystal-clear waters—balanced with evenings of softness: kirtan, sound healing, restorative movement, and shared meals as the sun sets behind the volcanoes.
This is a space to slow down, to listen, and to reconnect—with yourself and something greater. Whether you’re new to yoga or have been practicing for years, you are welcome here. Come solo or with a friend—our retreats are intentionally designed to be supportive, spacious, and deeply nourishing.
The Retreat
The Property
Our retreat home is a serene, luxury sanctuary nestled along the shores of Lake Atitlán, set between lush mountains and sacred volcanic peaks. Fully remote and only accessible by boat, it offers a true sense of escape and immersion in nature.
The property is thoughtfully built into the mountainside, with winding stone paths, vibrant gardens, and breathtaking views of the lake from every corner. You’ll find quiet nooks for reading and journaling, hammocks for rest, and spaces that naturally invite stillness and presence.
Each morning, we’ll gather in one of our open-air yoga shalas overlooking the water, practicing as the sun rises over the volcanoes—an experience that feels both grounding and expansive. In addition to our yoga spaces, the property features multiple meditation areas designed for reflection, all with panoramic views of the lake and surrounding peaks.
Our villa is designed for both restoration and inspiration, with a pool, hot tub, sauna, and full spa to support deep rest and rejuvenation. The energy of this land is palpable, offering a powerful backdrop for movement, meditation, and inner work.

ABSOLUTELY. Wave retreats are the perfect place for solo travelers. You’ll meet and connect with a group of like minded people, and find lasting friendships along the way. We’ll make a WhatsApp group before the trip, where we’ll all introduce ourselves, connect with roommates if booking shared rooms, and potentially plan to travel together if you’d like!
-
Totally! We love having couples on our retreats. We’d love to have your partner join any yoga classes they want to, but they can also just hang out, join for meals and excursions, and make the trip their own!
Couples can book individually at the shared room price, and have a private room for the two of them.

If you’re thinking about extending your trip, there are plenty of beautiful ways to explore more of Guatemala before or after the retreat. If you'd like to arrive early or stay longer at the retreat center, we’re happy to connect you to our reservations team to arrange additional nights.

As this is a spiritual immersion, we ask all participants to refrain from consuming alcohol, marijuana, and other intoxicants during the retreat.
The practices we’ll be engaging in—yoga, meditation, breathwork, ceremony, chanting, and self-inquiry—invite a deep level of presence, clarity, and openness. Substances can interfere with both your personal experience and the collective energy of the group, limiting the depth of what is available to you during this time.
This retreat is an opportunity to fully arrive—to connect with yourself, the land, and the community in a clear and intentional way.
We appreciate your understanding and your commitment to helping co-create a grounded, supportive, and respectful space for everyone.
Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM. After this time, we ask that noise be kept to a minimum, especially in shared villas and common areas, to honor rest and integration.

We have a scholarship program to help make our experiences accessible. We have one scholarship available on each of our retreats. If cost is a significant barrier for you, or if the currency of your home country coverts unfavorably into USD, we invite you to apply for a scholarship here.
