Julia Morrison

Julia Morrison, founder of Wave Yoga Retreats, is a 500-hour registered yoga and meditation teacher who curates immersive wellness retreats around the world. She studied yoga asana and philosophy in Bali, India, and the US with her cherished teacher and friend Megan Mulrine, in the direct lineage of Krishnamacharya. Julia also holds a degree in philosophy from the University of Connecticut, where her academic studies deepened her passion for exploring the wisdom traditions of yoga.

She is inspired by the powerful transformation that occurs when like-minded individuals come together with a shared intention. For Julia, both yoga and travel are practices that bring us fully into the present moment, awakening curiosity, wonder, and connection. Her retreats weave these two paths together, creating space for self-discovery, community, and growth.

Julia’s signature style is a creative and challenging vinyasa flow that fosters an invigorating physical, mental, and spiritual experience.

Megan Mulrine

Megan Mulrine is an E-RYT 500+ hour yoga teacher and yoga teacher trainer. She spent the last decade living in Asia (first in Iwakuni, Japan, then in Bali, Indonesia for the past seven years) studying yoga philosophy, Buddhism, Hinduism, and various meditative practices. During that time, she trained more than one thousand yoga enthusiasts to become yoga teachers, leading teacher trainings for various schools in Bali and the US, including her own yoga school, Yogatrotter Academy.

Megan’s area of specialty is the Hindu gods and goddesses as they relate to yoga asanas and mantras. In Bali, she runs her yoga school at the retreat center of her teacher, the Balinese priestess Ibu Ati, along with kirtan artist Thia Moana.

On Wave Yoga retreats, Megan leads vinyasa and yin yoga classes in which she beautifully weaves in yoga philosophy and the stories of the gods and goddesses. She also leads various styles of meditation and workshops all deeply connected to the roots of the practice.

Vicky Cooley

Vicky Cooley was first introduced to yoga at a young age, having a fond memory of attending a yoga class and thinking to herself how fun it was to see adults engage freely in what seemed like play. Yoga has since become a necessary and beloved part of her life.

Initially, Vicky trained in Ashtanga Yoga, though she is interested in every style of yoga. She received her 200 hour teacher training through Ashtanga Yoga Puerto Rico in 2017. Vicky considers herself a forever student of yoga and Ayurveda, with a specific passion for anatomy, both physical and energetic. Vicky is an Ayurvedic Health Counselor and Certified Massage Therapist, drawn to the crossover between western and eastern science.
